First time at Melrose Location, actually first time at Dave’s Hot Chicken! Juan CC made such a welcoming and great experience. I ordered Dave’s Bites Hot. So flavorful and juicy with a nice crunch! Juan CC made sure we had the famous dipping sauce to go with! Thank you Juan! We shall be back! And even recommended to download the app to get points! We sure did!
Excited for something spicy in Chicago, FINALLY Reaper spice came thru here at Dave’s Chicken. I laughed and danced as I enjoyed something kinda hot and challenging. Comparable to the scorpion wings I had in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I was excited when I had to sign a waiver. I was expecting something hotter. But I was satisfied. The chicken itself was fresh and steaming hot. The little piece of bread is cool too. Just an open face sandwich. I’m a big fan of open face sandwiches these days. It’s an opportunity to enjoy more of what’s inside the sandwich. I guess it’s better for you too, but that’s not my appeal. Cajun French fries were fresh and crispy. Just like the breading of the chicken. Pickle and special sauce as a nice touch. I however prefer to sip gin with spicy food. The blue berry slushy was something so different, that I’d never get. Very sweet and interestingly enough a little salty. A good jolt to prepair me for the reaper. Two bites into the reaper I had the hiccups. So funny. I finished the reaper in about 20 minutes. It’s very hot. A employee that took my order checked up on me and was very polite. I love that they did that. And they shared their experience with the reaper, how they cried. This employee was exceptionally professional. We walked in and they welcomed us and asked if it was our first time. I had cluelessness at first and she opened me up to the menu. It’s very simple which is a relief. But she explained it all, great posture and presentation. She had a great leadership quality about her that you just don’t get to witness everyday. High energy without feeling pushy. Able to problem solve the stuck water dispenser, with an upbeat attitude and calm demeanor. I feel bad saying I won’t be back as I very likely won’t. I really don’t like to eat out. I make much better food at home. But for $20 and a novelty sandwich, I very well likely may return in the fall. Music was great. I had a great experience today at Dave’s @Melrose Park location. FOH crew member Dayanira was super nice & helpful. After repeating my order back to me, she answered all my questions in a kindly manner. Food was hot, and served within a couple of minutes. Thank you, mom my really liked it as it was her first time coming!!

First time trying Dave’s hot chicken, was sooo good, we ordered on Uber Eats and it was delicious, seasoning on the chicken is unmatched, I ordered extra hot and babyyyy it was extra hot, the 1 slider with 1 tender was enough for two meals for me. My fiancé ordered the two tenders mild and said they were really good, the fries and Mac and cheese were point really good and crispy crunchy not soggy. Overall 10/10 better than cfa or canes. It is a bit pricy but for me two meals each is worth it.
Dominick was an amazing help. I couldn’t decide what to get and he described everything perfectly. Great customer service food was a 10/10
We’ve been wanting to go to Dave’s Hot Chicken for a hot minute ;-) While it was a bit of a drive it was totally worth it. The chicken honey teriyaki bites were so good. And Juan was so nice and helpful taking our order. There’s 7 levels of spice so there’s a level for everyone. The combos are also a great deal.
Shoutout to dominick who helped me today at Dave’s Hot Chicken! They were super friendly, patient, and made sure my order was exactly right. Their positive attitude really made my experience great. I ordered a number 3 hot was very good and fresh love the fries where well cooked good amount of crisp.
